A Sovereign Bride

A sovereign bride, so full of innocence, Untainted, pure and clean. A sovereign bride, all dressed in white, Wedded to the King of Kings. The body of Christ is the sovereign bride Pure through the blood of the lamb. All ready for the marriage supper, And eternity with the great “I Am”. The wedding bells are ringing, And the bridegroom now awaits For His bride, the Christians on earth To step through the pearly gates. And then the reception, oh the reception! Angel’s and loved one’s will be there, That day is coming, coming soon, Are you going to be prepared? I’ll see my uncles and aunts and grandpa, And my babies, my girl and boy, Separation no more, we’ll be the bride, Oh, won’t that be a joy? And then there will be the bridegroom Himself, Can you just imagine the sight? The Son will shine forever, In a place where there will be no night! Yes, the sovereign bride is ready She’s been on this earth too long She’s ready to be with her husband And forever let His praise be her song.
