"a Sorry Meant"'

A sorry is more then just a word...
To feel it deep when a heart beat is heard...
Changing hello's to goodbye's with just a frown...
To walk away and know there are tears with no sound...
The clock goes forward when we need to stop the hands...
We toss up lies and truth and see where it lands....
Deep in our minds we hold when we were wronged and right...
And only hope it balances out before we're faded from sight...
Say your sorry and pay your dues, because in time we all
get used....

I enjoyed reading your poetry this morning Michael. I am looking forward to tomorrow and what I might read of yours again. Never let your pen lay and dry out. The best to you in your writing endeavors whatever they may be. Love, Carol

Truly, saying the words, "I'm sorry" doesn't mean as much as feeling true contrition in your heart. I love the way you ended with "in time we all get used." So true, Michael! Love, Carolyn

Brilliant Michael and so true, for some it is the hardest word to say.
