A Song To Sing
A SONG TO SING
We’ll have a song to sing some day through all eternity,
And as I stop to think of that, I wonder what ‘twill be.
Will it be some of David’s psalms he sang there all alone
As we bow down to worship Him who sits upon the throne?
Or will it be “Amazing Grace,” a song so many love
That we will sing in harmony there in our home above?
I wonder how it all will sound--the millions singing there
Upon the streets of gold so pure in that bright land so fair.
Whatever that one song will be, it must be something great
That all these years have passed us by and still we’ve had to wait.
Perhaps the Lord Himself composed the song that we will sing
And knows the best words we will need, the honor to Him bring.
I know this much--I cannot wait to join the choir above
And praise the Lamb of Calvary for His amazing love.
My voice, now frail and weak on earth, so perfect there will be,
And with the massive choir up there I’ll sing eternally.
