A Song To Ek

The leaves are dead and rotting
The fish buried under the mud
The bear is in his cave sleeping
Snow floats down from above

The Earth is solidly frozen
While my heart burns with such heat
For you, my love who was chosen
To deliver me from the deep

Deep, dark depths of solitude
Flash of lightning under the waves
The water churls and whirls into
A funnel of death and decay

Above, your own storm whirling
Black thunder clouds, howling winds
We send our Souls out hurling
To crash together and to blend

But what sweet blending it is!
The twist of our mutual storms
The sunrise of our hearts begin
Such bliss it is to see the morn.
