A Song For Your Heart
It's a melody that plays
a soft and gentle lullaby
hummed in the night's quiet
just as you close your eyes in life dreams,
watching your breath cast in the stars,
the enraptured hush of time's shadow
as it slips away past the midnight hour
hanging on to the memories
prayers of a parting last goodbye
in this song for your heart.
