A Soldier's Prayer

A Soldier's Prayer

our heads are full of thoughts
of a land where we are free
so we stand out in the front
to bear all the tragedy

The raging hells of war
reach beyond imagination
but we stand side by side
to defend our mighty nation

our devotion pays in choice
we ask that all chose well
and keep our deepest hope
that someday peace will sell

please father keep us safe
we ask in your son's name
that all for which we fought
has not all been in vain
