A Small Word
Such a small word it is true
But it helps the unfortunate
It gets them through
Saves them from a future black
From the edge of despair
It pulls them back
Aspirations and desire it gives
Food for their future
That dreams can live
The small word the lets us cope
Through our tough times
That word is hope.
