A Small Respite

A Small Respite ~~~ Yesterday I watched a child at play and I recalled times of joy long past of a happiness known but too fragile to last like a sweet golden dream that I fought to hold fast for a moment I was young again bright sun shone through my pain then came rain

Margaret, I returned to this lovely one to tell you thanks for your blog comment. In this type of poem, I would say the way you arranged it makes the punctuation unimportant. Just tell me if you want me to help you with commas in your sonnets or whatever, and I will let you know where commas go. LUv, andrea

Beautifully done, Margaret. I have written several books, poetry and otherwise, about childhood, the happiest time of my life. Fortunately, the rain has been good to me - not too many stormy times. Love, daver
