A Slow Meaningless Death

No matter how hard we tried we could never see things eye to eye. As days flew by we tried to justify our commitment, yet our love continued to die. As we tried to find a way to simplify our love for each other and quantify the reasons our passions never reached the sky. Again the days flew by and we continued to ask why? Tomorrow did come and go yet it signified how we continued to mollify the reasons for living thru all the lies. We shall never understand why our lives together made us cry. Cause our fate was that of an aging butterfly that eventually ceased to fly.
