A Sister's Love

Sister, you hold a special place within my heart,
and on this day, I just wanted to say,
that no matter how near or how far we may be,
you can always count on me. For you see, a sister is more
than just family, she's also a lifetime friend.

When you came into my life, it was a truly remarkable day,
we shared a special bond, you were the shadow that followed me
along my way. I tried to be there for you to show I care,
sometimes life isn't always fair, for as time went by we drifted apart.
Because of our ages we lived different lives, had different styles and different ways.
We haven't always agreed on what sounded good or looked good,
However, that is somehow ok, for you see, we are different people within one family.

You are unique and so am I, I love you and know you love me.
Time has a way of bringing hearts closer, the older we get the less important those
differences seem. We are just glad for the time we have together to spend.

A sister is a forever friend, someone to tell your secrets to, the one who cries when you
are sad and rejoices when you are glad. The heart of a sister is a remarkable thing.

On this day, I just wanted to say, that I am truly glad that you are my sister, for all
you have given me. Memories to forever treasure, memories of my sister and me.

Written in love for Donna Kaye, a special sister and friend. I love and wish you all the
joy and goodness that life can bring.

                                          Terra Dawn Mims
