A Sinner's Prayer

I found myself alone again, so I began to pray...

Please deliver me, Christ

My heart is worried and weighed

For me, to survive is a throw of the dice.

All my life, I have been so cared for and blessed

It all comes from you, Lord…this I know for sure

Now, every day appears to me as though it’s a test

Send me your gentle peace, so that I can endure.

Each day, Satan tries to fool and tempt me

He grabs hold of my heart and tells me such lies

Oh, Jesus help me to be what you want me to be

Your armor protects me when Satan tries.

The Bible says ask God and His faithful will receive

Seek whatever we need-- with His help we will find it

Knock and open the door but you must believe

Thank you God, I wait for the day at your feet I will sit.
