A Single Girl's Melody

Each new love song that's written,
leaves a scar on the single girl's heart.
In her house of loneliness,
love's melody refuses to start.

A radio's voice reminds her
of a fantasy spun by her life.
But the emptiness she feels
makes wounds with an emotional knife.

Her soul's inner music
tastes the sorrow of her core.
In the daily task of living,
she longs for something more.

The tender words of a tune
twists her heart like a leaf.
As she embraces the music of age,
love's dream fades with her belief.

It is interesting how tunes, music, songs constantly remind people of various situations, good and bad.
