A Silent Smile

A silent smile is all that's left. In my mind is this image of you and I. I can't stop staring into space and I don't know why. A gentle breeze brings me back to Mother's Day when we first met. You and I are different in every way but was it fate that took us this way? I haven't seen you in a long time, so let me ask you if you're doing fine. I can't hear you 'cause there isn't a signal over here to there. But I can still feel your warmth, I can still see your smile, but I can never seem to see you in real life. Things aren't going so great anymore. You lost your cell and now we can't even sense each others' presence. Let me reassure you that I'm still alive and I'll continue to live on until you and I are together in eternity.
