A Silent Prayer

People tell me it's not meant to be
And you should move on
Try concentrating on things you like
Get your unfinished work done

Friends tell me I should see someone else
So I can be happy and not be alone
They term our relation as a mere "infatuation"
That's supposed to be soon gone

Family tells me to not brood over the past
Let everything go and free the mind
Not to chase after a love that wasn't true
'Cause bitter memories fade away with time

My heart tells me you were and always will be the one
And my true happiness lies there too
That's why even after all these days, I am here
Longing for my love and waiting for you.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
