A Silent Love

Why do I dream of you
So easily these days?
When we were close - and had a chance
You had nothing to say.

Even in my dreams - you are silent
You utter - not one word
It's my voice - in the dream of you
That can be easily heard.

I remember telling you
"Don't be gone too long"
But, It was your friend who responded
And said that you won't.

I could only see your face
You looked me in the eyes
No response was necessary
That look made me satisfied.

Before I was awaken from my dream of you
For you -I was still waiting
To count on your return
There was no debating.

Many times thereafter - I have dreamed of you
And you still haven't said a word
Just by looking into your eyes
Your feelings can be heard.

Perhaps, that is why I dream of you
So easily these days
There are so many ways of expressing feelings
And silence is your way.
