A Sign of the Times

I am grieved to my core,
Is there purity anymore?
I am dodging bullets all day,
While my friends are slipping away
A dark sheet covers the eyes of man
I am living in a desolate land
The New World Order
Is steeling our sons and daughters
The god of this age
Is in a vile rage
Words are wondering in the breeze
Mankind is in a Freeze
Only you can make this right,
Only you can give me might,
Bleed out all this sorrow
Secure my tomorrow
Silence all this noise
Help me keep my poise,
The uncertainty has got me hazy,
And I know you’re not crazy,
Vindicate me, in this mess
Forgive the lies, I must confess
Evil peace is floating around
I can hear its revolting sound
As long as I’m in you
You’ll protect my every move
I can’t go back now
I already made my vow
I can’t go back now
I already made my vow.
