A Sight God Created
A single sunflower grew
Where none should have grown
Nurtured by God with sunshine and rain
No soil was used but it continued to grow
It's fragile stalk grew about one foot tall
A yellow sunflower smiled down at me
High in the crook of an old elm tree
A sight God created for me to see
A lesson I've learned from that lovely flower
It didn't question about how it grew
Or what would happened to it tomorrow
But instead it put it's trust
In God's awesome wondrous powers
For even the sunflower is precious to Him
A sunflower growing where none should be
Is a testimony to His greatness
How I wish I was like that wonderful flower
Glorifying God in all that I do
I can learn from you, my flowering friend
By growing strong and steadfast
In the direction of his Light
Letting God be the Gardner of my soul
With all my heart I'll worship Him
Proclaiming his glory through the land.
