A Shadow of Myself
I've never thought much about shadows until now
I could wax lyrical on this subject if I only knew how
I love to look at trees in the twilight
They become silhouettes making shadows to delight
Many magnificent pictures that come to mind
Sunny days bring shadows too of a very different kind
The sun can cast a shadow
You can see a shadow on the moon
Fingers can make pictures on the wall
That makes little children swoon
The shadow that interests me
And captures me the most
Is the shadow I see of myself
Me when I am a ghost
