A Self Sufficient Man

In recent times someone suggested
the way I live my life is extremist
So I dug deep within to understand, what elicited his view
what is it that I do, to survive on planet Earth wherever I exist

But before I delve in further I am entirely a man,
I perform many different roles
None of which I believe are extremist
I am,I am,  he's tossed me in his definition can

The basis of all creation arises
from Gods given natural law
I'll compare as much as I am able
the accusers so called natural life with mine
Is it possible to discover some sort of philosophical flaw

The current money system forces abandonment of children
not so long ago, started on the breast
For both child and society 
is this really what is best??

It's all about this artificial stuff called finance
two parents now must work to make ends barely meet
whilst those with most zeroes in an online bank account
They have much more power 
with the title of elite

For many years before 
and not long after I was born
Backyards in the cities grew vegetables and fruit
But today that's been replaced
with concrete or a water wasting manicured green lawn

I'm now seen as a hippie 
a self sufficient man
Recent times, political suggestions
that backyard food production 
should be subject to a ban

And what about this government education
designed to numb the brain
Ban this radical home school system, parents lack the ability to impart the mind control
that the monsters wish to maintain

In the total scheme of Gods natural law
in place for all the time humans have existed
Compulsory education in Australia, late nineteenth century it began
Prior, how did we manage to survive ?????????
It's a wonder we have even managed to have subsisted !!!

So what is non extremist now??
Air conditioned office, house and car
Never feel the sunshine fluctuating warmth and cold
They're watching sport whilst drinking wine
in a private little men's den with a private little bar

Some of the lifestyle that's been aforementioned
it's a former lifestyle which I now vehemently shun
Life is more productive now, growing food,
swimming in the creek or being bare foot in the sun

No television in my house for close to thirty years
no longer  geared to spending mant hours
watching repetitive sports
Much more enjoyable pursuits
productively filling my thoughts

I'll leave it up to you 
if I deserve the title, extremist tag
In the meantime I'll enjoy much daily solitude
amongst the marvels that nature does provide
It's for God's creation that I'll proudly unfurl and fly the flag
