A Sea of Words

His inspiration, was expressed in a sea of pompous words that had his poetic genius drowned!

I just love the thought of a monoku, being titled "Sea of Words", seems like a misnomer. But what a fun read.

- Excellent written... but so sad, dear Demetrios - (The Greek poet Sapfo wrote poetry 2500 years ago ....an accomplished poet) - hugs // Anne-Lise :)

Do not worry my dearest Anne-Lise for the drowning is allegorical! I mean that a poet who tries to impress, sometimes, uses so many pompous words that his poetic genius is drowning in the plethora of words. Homer and Hesiod and many other poets wrote 2800 years ago, long before Sappho! Thank you my kind friend, Anne-Lise for your visit and precious comment!
