A Scary Relationship

(The voice of a woman, hurt by her own lover.)

He claims to love me
and yet destroys me
my emotions
my soul.

I regret why
I accepted his proposal
I was fooled
fooled by his sweet words.

He is a devouted lair
devouted in lies
and yet, disloyal to love
dishonest.

Now,
I am pierced
torn apart by thorn of love
a sharp spear
that drills my fragile heart.

Pain to depart delays
tears wave my eyes
sadness invade my face
I am hurt, I am bruised.

I am immersed in sorrow
baptised in blood
a ceaseless flood
my heart explodes sorrow.

Is this love ?
that unvails misery
and vails joy ?
I am scared
in a scary relationship.
