We were all up at 3:45 a.m. What I won’t do for my mother! LOL

the cock hasn’t crowed...
shuffling feet wake me up
...bright light of bonding

gift from my sister —
pink feathers and felt roses
of fascinator

great-grandma’s teacups
eclectic and elegant —
her spirit’s with us

a royal event...
elegant stars twinkling
...linking arms with mom

sisters and i smile...
eyelids open with sugar
...men snort-snore upstairs

music and preaching...
judges of America
...dad flees for his life

did you like the dress…
did the kiss give you chill bumps
...Prince Harry’s tears swoon

pride of her mother…
Meghan’s so ready to wed
...the rings joined sweetly

at the commanding
of the “queen” my dear mother
— a royal affair

What a lovely string of poems, Sounds like you had a wonderful time Kim, I think it was more of an event for ladies to get up to watch. I watched the wedding at mum's care home - they held a 'party' for the royal wedding and we were the only none residents to turn up to celebrate - they went to so much trouble with fabulous buffet food, bunting, flags and party poppers and we had a lovely time:-) hugs Jan xx
