A Room In Forever
some drops never drip
they just dry up where they are
some tears are never shed
they're held inside to die
some lips are never kissed
not a sadder thought have I
like the memories held forever
in a thousand rooms that cry
time is measured only
like the acts within a play
when the stage is set too slowly
all the players slip away
as light slips from a dying star
before the darkness looms
where wishes for eternity
could fill a million rooms
then the drop is caught forever
in a frozen vacant sky
where seconds never mattered
- not a sadder thought have I
