A Road
Along a path, along a road,
In times forgotten, long ago,
I walked with friend, I walked with foe.
In times forgotten, long ago,
I walked with friend, I walked with foe,
I trod along with miles to go.
I walked with friend, I walked with foe,
I trod along with miles to go,
I saw the farmers, their seeds to sow.
I trod along with miles to go,
I saw the farmers, their seeds to sow,
I faced my giants, toe to toe.
I saw the farmers, their seeds to sow,
I faced my giants, toe to toe,
I heard men shout and bend their bows.
I faced my giants, toe to toe,
I heard men shout and bend their bows,
I passed along and heard the echo.
