A Right To Happiness

In a world swirling with fire and ice,
I will stand up, and make heard my voice,
I will no longer bear this plight,
I will stand up and start to fight.

In a world filled with sorrow and hate,
I will be a victim no more, will not wait,
to be rescued, like a "damsel in distress".
To a chance for happiness-I will say yes.

In this world, bringer of guilt and grief,
people trapped forever, hoping it will be brief,
their sentence on mother earth,
tending to home and hearth.

Well, I am not one of those,
who will bow down to their woes.
I will stand up and fight,
fight for what I think I have the right...
      Happiness......
