A Responsible Beginning

This is the night to bring in a new year You might want to celebrate with some beer That is quite all right As long as you have someone sober drive tonight Drinking and driving is not cool At best, you would drive like a fool Don’t be one of those that drink and drive The two just don’t jive You could end up in jail Causing someone to pay your bail You could total your car Once you leave the bar You could get hurt So, let someone drive that is alert You could hurt someone Who could be a stranger or a loved one You could die Causing loved ones to cry You could kill someone As a result of what your drunk driving has done Then you would spend time in prison While mourners wear red ribbons This is all avoidable As long as you drink responsible
