A Religious Mess
You look down your nose at me because of what I write
Your nose stays in the air because of how I live my life
You are always preaching to me, quoting the KJV
Reciting scriptures from Deuteronomy and 1st Timothy
I have one for you and it comes from Matthew
"Judge not, that ye be not judged," so get a clue
No one died and made you God
So please put a stop to your facade
You are a wolf in sheep's clothing
A hypocrite worth loathing
Your religious quips don't faze me one bit
Just how judgmental can one person get?
Jesus loves me this I know
And I don't need you to tell me so
Preaching to me your hostile gospel
Not caring if I'm Baptist or Pentecostal
Ranting and raving like my soul's on fire
Listen to me, you're preaching to the choir
I was raised in the church, so I know of the Bible
Should I listen to the Word from a fraudulent disciple?
Maybe so, heck, even the Devil know the Word
At least that was said in some sermon that I heard...
There's something, not Biblical, about living in glass homes
That if you do, you probably should not throw stones
Stop pretending that my sins are greater than yours
Because we'll both be standing at Heaven's doors
I am not perfect, far from conceited
I treat everyone the way I want to be treated
Why are you pressing your religion so hard?
Is your Holy Bible acting as your safeguard?
Protecting your skeletons buried deep in your closet?
Hiding the secrets that you don't want to admit?
We are ALL sinners in the eyes of our Lord
That's Romans 3:23, just for the record
So remove your own specks and the hypocrisy as well
Before you end up with a one-way ticket straight to Hell
