A Reason For Living

The sun is setting very slowly
And I’m starting to get very lonely.
But I know You’re here with me
Your presence I feel, but You I can’t see.
You pour blessings upon my head
You’ll take care of me, that’s what You said.
You touch my hand and let me know
In You I can trust because You’ll never let go.
I look at You and in Your hand I place mine
Together we go and Your will we will find.
My life feels like a merry-go-round
But faith, hope, and love is what I’ve found.
It brings tears to my eyes to know You’re still here
To feel Your presence and feel you ever so near.
To have a strong foundation to place my trust in
To know in my heart that You forgive every sin.
When at night I look up at the stars
I feel the pain washed away and all my scars.
