A Real Hard Life
It's been a real hard life
It's been a heavy load
I watched it all unwind
Down this winding road
But if I had to do it over, I'd probably do it the same
I'm at the point where it all seems so pointless
I'm at the stage where the curtain starts to fall
I hide behind the walls inside my fortress
And I don't see any fight in me at all
And if I could make it all right
If I had a second chance
I'd make my star shine bright
And I'd forgive my past
And when I leave this life, you'd all remember my name
But I'm at the point where it all just seems pointless
I'm at the stage where the curtain starts to fall
I hide behind the walls inside my fortress
And I don't see any fight in me at all
