A Quiet Offering

I care for you quietly,
Not to claim, not to possess,
But to lift you gently in my prayers,
Trusting God with what I cannot bless.

I see your heart drawn elsewhere,
Yet I hold no bitterness, no ache.
I watch, I listen, I stand in stillness,
Offering love for love’s own sake.

If God wills another way,
I let my tender feelings sway.
For now, I watch, I pray, I learn,
A quiet offering, in Him I turn.
