A Puddle

i did one day stumble 
down a lane on a puddle 
that wanted for nowhere to go 
it sat without ripple 
right in the middle 
of an alley that wanted not for road 
not did shadow 
cover nor follow 
its particular spot 
while it did borrow 
from what not hollow 
could top

What a talented writer you are! Right now I'm feeling like the puddle you describe, sitting without ripple in the middle of an alley that wanted not for road. Amazing work. Where have you been hiding?

This is really lovely, I even think that the lack of pounctuation is justified. the sounds of the words are brilliant. There is a childishness to it that is the strength of the poem. A real pleasure to read!
