A Pretty Verse For You

Georgette my little friend next door
Why is it together we had such little time
Now apart we have so much
And yet it seems so very hard to find.

I visited you just the other day
You looked pretty darn good to me
I did not want to leave you
But my time had run out you see.

During my stay you seemed happy
And sometimes you seemed to recognize me
And there were times you did not
But that is okay, it is all right with me.

Christmas will soon be upon us
And I have so little in gifts for you
Except to write you a very pretty verse
And end it with the words.
Friend "I Love You!"
