A Pretty Dance

Rhythm in a song
Harmony in a flute
Clang in cymbals
Clap in hands
Snap in fingers
Stamp in feet.
Chirp of a flying bird
Quack of a drake
Neigh of a stallion
Oink of a sow
Baa of a ewe
Gibber of a monkey
Grunt of a kid
Moo of a bull
Meow of a tom
Squeak of a doe.
The crunch of dry leaves
The gurgling of waters
The swerving of trees
All at a go
Heard by a lad
Out in the woods
After a long day's work
He takes a step at a time
Shaking his waist in tune
With the rhythm
Wiggling his fingers in the air
Leading to a perfect pretty dance.
