A Prayer For Healing
Take the lungs so winded
Breathe in me new life
Take the heart so strained
Shield me in this strife
Lift the eyes so heavy
Shine, oh light of day
Lift the wings so weary
Pull my heart away
Raise the shield so battered
May I rest beneath
Raise the soul so heavy
Bring sweet joy of grief
Strength of once has fled me
Yet I still remain
The heart alive can bear much
I've held this desert plain
My King, how I need you!
This heart within me fails
Oh how long I've rowed this ship
Fill this winded sail
Carry me, I tremble
I've lost the strength to stand
Hold me close, I'm broken
Rain upon this land
Take my weary hand
