A Prayer At Evening

When I close my eyes, do not leave
And if I go wandering abroad
Bring me back again. When I weave
My dreams, give me your card,
I want to call on you when sleep's gone
Sleep, such a risky journey, Sir
Thanksgiving is a natural every dawn
Abide with me and death defer.
I need your presence if I must return
More than milk of stars I desire
Your the ultimate end to which I yearn
The rest I seek when days retire.
