A Powerful Dreamer

I’m a powerful dreamer, no less than a devout believer
So let me stand up to the podium and preach, no I would rather speak
So my words do not fall to deaf ears, grasp that
Peace is not a gunshot away it only leads to violence
And Violence rots the heart,
And when the heart gives way, no one in the world seems to care
So lean on my shoulder and bear with me, for love is a fragile thing to be scarce
And these are the words of just a powerful dreamer,
And dreams are just dreams, so let’s make it a reality
And put the most devout believer to shame.

Contravailing rhythms course through this cerebral verse. You wrly pun the idiom make-believe! Enjoyed your sentient poem!
