-a Poetess Dreams-

She, in the land of confusion, so fruitfully penned.
Never for a second sensing the animosity with which
her words were read.
Far from being a duncette, she was so naive to express
her beliefs and hopes in her heart and head,

Alas! She knew something was wrong.

Behind that papal sentimental use of God, so overused
in poetry.
The air so smoldering with the total absence of humility.

Worse, those poets so overjoyed to destroy other countries
And to rebuke other leadeers as evil and wrong!
Such parochiality and endemic immorality.
Weak, seedy keyboard poetic plurality.

She dreamt of a sane place to pen,
Not in dread, but she knew not where nor when.
Hence fell a hot tear fell and into a wintry sunset, she
stared.
Whom could she trust?
To whom, could she her tender soul bare?

Dream big and never let anyone shatter those dreams. If any one shows animosity, use blocking feature. Tom

Long live America and the freedoms for which she stands. What direction is she heading? Hard to know, but it doesn't look all that great. But she has always been resilient so there is always hope ~ John

Agree on America. But Americans aren't realizing what the future holds. PS is based in America for those who don't like it...think again. I've lived through good times, beatings and sewage. And miracles in my life, am deeply blessed to be alive This long. Most people don't live as long as I have. That is a gift! And no dreadful illness. Just want all my freedoms. Don't need a gov to tell me how to bend over and when)) Thank you, John.
