A Poem Shared

Tell Me, Jesus, Which Hurts More? A Poem by Chris G. Vaillancourt Tell me, Jesus, which hurts more? When you saw the rich oppress the poor? Or the saints who barred the sinners at the temple door? Tell me, Jesus, which hurts more? When they offered the rabble in the yard the root or the corrupted leaf and they cried out: “Give us the thief!” Tell me, Jesus, which hurts more? When they murder one another in their endless wars and justify it by claiming it’s for you? Or when the walkers walking into the church step over the homeless bodies of the poor? Tell me, Jesus, was death the sharper pain, or having to rise, to rise again? © 2014 Chris G. Vaillancourt This is not my work >>>>>Author above..He said that I could share this with you.. Sara

Dear Sara, Got chills thinking of the crowd saying, "Give us Barabus." Too many wars have been fought for religious principles. I should think Jesus would be angered by both the wars and the way those living in poverty are ignored. It's up to us to make a difference whenever we have a chance. You and Chris made very good points in your poems. Love, Carolyn

Pain will go away but sympathies stay for days. I'm still alive just working. I've been restored to old self. Doing good on my way to work. John.
