A Poem In My Pocket

Just a few words that I couldn't just say
As I think about You throughout my entire day
Words that I have always held so true
So these words really aren't anything new

But in the giving of thanks and the offering praise
Oh, how you were always there even on my worst days
This little poem is just to truly let You know
That You are always on my mind where ever I may go

And though these words need not even be said
For they are always amongst the thoughts in my head
But this is just a simple little gift from my heart
For which you own every part

Just simply left in that wooden pew
For Lord Jesus I knew not what else to do
But simply the thought that someone will soon find
And such thoughts of Your Glory will now be on their mind
