A Poem for the Full Moon

Full moon my lovely, fill me with energy
My parched spirit longing to be renewed
The thoughts of you fill all my reveries
As I eagerly await for your appearance in glee

So let me refocus on who is really me
And never forget what I'm living here for
When darkness around is all that I see
May you light up the world and banish my enemies

Time and time they try to tear me down
I fall on my knees and tears wash over
But one day I'll be sitting on a throne with a crown
Moonstone glistening on bejeweled silver

So once again I give praises to thee
Who has guided me through the tragedies
Full moon moonlight cleansing over me
In thirty more days I will once again see
