A Poem For Mama

Heaven blessed us with an angel, She showered us with love. But then one day God took you home, To shine way up above. Your dancing feet were ready, It was time to say goodbye. It was on that day you got your wings, The angels helped you fly. On that day we let you go, A piece of us went with you. Now we've all come together, Like our families used to do. It's not the same without you, Many tears we all have cried. Now the memories will last forever, It's just the tears we cannot hide. The sun now shines upon you, The grass is always green. So on that day we meet again, We'll talk about all we've seen. On this day we stand together, There's only one thing left to say. Cheers to beers and sunshine, On your celebration day.
