A Place I Go When I Sleep
Where I Go When I Sleep
When I close my eyes I travel to the land where the lion roams and roars the night away.
Where monkey’s travel from limb to limb and frequently beat their chests to show the mighty
spirit.
A place where I ride an elephant across the land and wave
At the hippos covered in mud to cool and protect their skin.
Where I can shake my khaki hips to the jungle beat
In my bare feet, a place where I can grunt instead of speak.
A place where pink dolphins frolic and squeak.
A place where even I can afford to eat.
That’s where I go when I sleep.
