A Pirate's Song

(A whimsical little poem of mine from 2015)

___

Fairly abrupt! Yes, ho! how we start,
for that shimmerin' ocean has just as much heart
as a guard o' the sick and th' faint friend of art.

Pain' it wit' your eye or hand
th' grandeur looks of pearl-white sand,
or per'aps you'd like a darker pit?
A roilin' storm swirls 'round your wit!
