A Pigeon Joined Me For Tea

A pigeon joined me for morning tea

A pigeon joined me for morning tea
Out on the ledge
Fat as can be
Starring through the window pane
Starring at me

As I sipped my tea
He bobbled he wobbled
He put on a show
As the sun began to glow

I’ll invite him for lunch
I wish he would stay
I would feel so lonely if he flew away
He’s cute and he’s chubby
Perhaps another’s hubby

He was part of my morning
He may be part of my noon
He may fly away,
Perhaps over the moon
