A Picture Speaks a Thousand Words
A picture speaks a thousand words
I stare at yours as my feelings go downwards
Your endearing smile or your penetrating eyes
But your pain is gone now as well as your cries
I remember your distinguished nose and your ears
But they are gone to along with your fears
I can observe your cheeks and your hair
I reminisce all of these things but to the real thing it doesn’t compare
I still recall your proud jaw line capped off with a strong chin
They were just a part of you but the best part came from within
I can look at your photograph to reflect or to see
But it doesn’t capture your love, which now resides in me
