A Phoennix Without Wings On a Roller Coaster

I rise like a Phoenix
but is the fire hot enough to melt down the bricks
which I've build in front of my heart?
Am I really over you or do I just talk
myself away from you?
Am I still in love with you or do I just talk me into it?
It's life's roller coaster ride
do I still want you as my bride?

Even when I know that I'm crossing the ocean
I don't know if you are my poison or potion
I don't know where I stand and I don't know where I'm going
is the wind still blowing
your name or just a familiar thing?
A thing were I'm used to
A thing that used to
let me shine and glow
but in the end every star will blow
what's lasting of the beauty are pieces of dust and ashes

The pain slowly fades
but the emptiness stays
I felt back into place
after I lost your grace
I try to run away
but in the end I may come back and stay
