A Phase
I wait for days to feel the empty stages
Wait for days to know that nothing comes
There are no more lies now as I lose what rages
But standing here can only last so long
And to know I see what you can only dream of
To know what comes whatever I will do
But standing here I know the only path now
I’ve come through my past and now I must go on
These dark desires can only last so long now
If I walk away I know that they’ll be gone
Seeing nothing whatever I must face here
I’m seeing something where I can belong
The times I’ve seen death as I talk amongst it
Times I’ve breathed in what I know are lies
But crimes against me involve my own partaking
I’m now through the asphalt and I realise
To travel forward into what’s called nothing
To travel out and see what’s all too clear
Nothing lies as I can only feel now
No deceit as I must be here
With confusion waiting for my every turn
I turn the corner and I’m met with fear
With this circular motion I can only sigh now
The circle meets me as I’m insincere
And I throw my anger out with such aggression
Tear it up as I can only die
Take some lives down as I lose what matters
Taking down with me what can only lie
The self-destruction now has lead me forward
To be happy I know I must stay true
Lies will lead me in to old regressions
Lies I know can never get me through
