A Pet Marmoset

My neighbor has a marmoset
  a most unusual urban pet

His monkey has a silken coat
  and a non-prehensile tail

Which helped my neighbor not at all
~ when off he went to jail

Oh, man, I knew a couple with a monkey. Their house reeked! I cannot get over the memory of that smell as I read this adorable poem. Their son had sent it from Cambodia before he died in Viet Nam.

I always say, 'He who smelt it dealt it.'

Hello Gershon, no one should have a pet like that. Thes animals belong in the jungle. Enjoy your evening my friend.

Hello Gershon, yes the monkeys belong in the forest. Dogs belong with humans to love and care for them. Enjoy your day my friend.

I agree. Keep the monkeys in the jungle and throw the dogs in there with 'em!
