A Pearl They Shall Remain

When we gaze upon a child
And see the innocence revealed;
We witness the birth of life
And the miracle God intended.
We see laughter in each smile,
Not the sickness that's concealed.
Remember in these times of strife
God's love is ever extended.
Sometimes life throws us a curve,
It reveals our worst fears.
We see the flaws of this world,
The true meaning of pain.
We must take control and serve,
Even as we shed our tears;
For God brought unto us a pearl
And a pearl they shall remain.
