A Pause In Time
You look up at the sky at night;
letting Nature's beauty awe you.
And see ebony pierced by light —
devoid of all traces of blue.
And you feel small
amidst it all.
You watch a shooting star take flight;
enjoying a breathtaking view.
And savor a cosmic delight
that takes a split second or two —
A pause in time
that feels sublime.
